A Case of Reticulum Cell Sarcoma in the Transverse Colon

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of reticulum cell sarcoma of the transverse colon was reported. The patient was a 32
year old Korean male who complained of lower abdominal dull pain and severe melena. On phy
sical examination, left upper quadrant tenderness was noted and otherwise were normal. The film
of batium enema showed a filing defect between the terminal portion of transverse colon and the
splenic flexure.
Operation was done under the impression of malignant tumore of the transverse colon and the
pathological diagnosis was reticulum cell sarcome.
The tumor was considered to be primary solitary rericulum cell sarcoma of the transverse colon.
A brief review of the literature was made.
